About Centred Wellness
Everyone is welcome here. I respect all backgrounds, cultures, identities, & experiences.
Hi, I'm Candyce—I'm a therapist, but more importantly, I'm a human who's spent a lot of time sitting in life's more difficult moments.
I understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed, to lose direction, and to wonder how to move forward. That's why Centred Wellness exists—to offer a safe, calm, supportive space where you don't have to have all the answers. You just need to show up as you are.
Here, it's not about fixing you. It's about walking alongside you while you reconnect and align with what matters to you most.

Why I became a psychotherapist
For me, counselling and psychotherapy isn't just a profession—it's deeply personal.
I've faced my own challenges: addictive and self-harming behaviours, psychosocial difficulties, cancer, work-related injury, grief, and some big life transitions like moving overseas and changing careers. I've also been affected by the bigger picture—the inequalities and social pressures that shape the world we live in.
These experiences led me to study counselling and psychotherapy, and ultimately shaped how I show up for others. I know healing isn't always linear, and I respect the courage it takes to seek support. This work means a lot to me, and it's a privilege to be trusted by the people I work with.

My approach to therapy
My work is grounded in relational, integrative psychotherapy—where the therapeutic relationship is central, and your lived experience guides the process. I also draw on evidence-informed therapies to support reflection, emotional insight, and meaningful change. But more than anything, therapy is shaped by you, your pace, your values, and parts of your experience that are ready to be met.
I take a person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approach. That means sessions are collaborative, at your pace, and shaped by your goals and lived experience. We can talk about the big things or the day-to-day things. We can sit in the silence, reflect, or work through practical steps. There’s no pressure, no judgment, and no pretending to have it all together.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I might draw on a range of theories and models to meet your unique needs. These include attachment‑based and trauma‑informed approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, as well as compassionate, mindfulness, somatic, experiential, and transpersonal practices. Our work may also involve exploring dreams and nightmares, which can provide a safe way to process trauma, illuminate relational patterns, deepen self‑understanding, and open pathways to creativity, meaning, and personal growth. For some people, this exploration is a supportive part of therapy, while for others it becomes the main focus of our time together.
The aim isn’t perfection—it’s growth, awareness, and living with greater meaning, in whatever way feels right for you.
