Online Therapeutic Dreamwork

Exploring and processing dreams, bad dreams, and nightmares through a grounded, relational therapeutic process.

A symbolic pathway into the deeper layers of your inner world

Dream work in therapy.

Dreams often carry emotional, relational, and symbolic material that sits just beneath conscious awareness. They can reveal the parts of you and the deeper truths and insights that are ready to be acknowledged.

Working with dreams in therapy offers a way to explore inner experiences with a sense of curiosity, not to interpret your dreams, but to understand what they evoke in you.

What is dream therapy?

Dream therapy is a collaborative process where we explore the images, emotions, sensations, and themes that arise in your dreams, not to interpret them, but to understand what they evoke in you.

Rather than focusing on “what the dream means” in a fixed way, we explore:

  • what the dream may be expressing, protecting, or making bearable

  • the emotions and body sensations that arise as you recall it

  • how the imagery connects to your current life, relationships, or history

  • the ways your nervous system may be processing stress, fear, or longing

  • the beliefs or stories about yourself that appear in the dream

  • the unmet needs, inner conflicts, or desires held within its symbols

This approach is collaborative, paced with your nervous system, and grounded in relational safety. It’s not about forcing an interpretation or getting it “right” — it’s about staying close to your experience and gently creating space for new understanding and integration.

Supportive Dreamwork For…

Dreams, Nightmares, and the Unconscious

Dreams, nightmares, and recurring imagery often arise when deeper emotional layers are seeking attention — unresolved experiences, early attachment wounds, or protective strategies that once helped you cope. Together, we explore the emotional and symbolic language of your dreams, how they connect to your past and present, and what they may be expressing or inviting you toward.

Dream therapy may support you if you’re navigating:

  • unresolved emotions

  • early attachment patterns and trauma

  • protective strategies

  • identity shifts

  • life transitions

  • relational wounds

  • creative impulses

  • inner conflicts or longings

  • implicit memories

Dreams can also offer guidance or insight to experiences that are difficult to articulate through usual talk therapies.

Centred Wellness offers a grounded, compassionate space to explore your dreams and experiences to support personal insight and healing.

THE PROCESS

What’s involved in dreamwork.

  • We begin by creating a safe, grounded space where we can explore your dream experiences.

  • We clarify what feels important for you, what’s been going on in your life and then go over a dream you’ve brought to the session.

  • We explore the dream, imagery, any immediate emotions, sensations, and associations, sometimes connecting them to earlier experiences, attachment patterns, or protective strategies. It’s a process which I support you to be curious about, rather than trying to find any particular meaning.

  • We reflect on what the dream process revealed and have time for any emotional integration or meaning making.
